Nearly back from Duncan. (Photo taken while waiting for a red light in a long left-turn lineup)

22 km remaining is still above the "low battery" warning, but it's definitely at my "low comfort" warning. If I'd done the trip with climate control on, the range would probably be close to zero. So: to go to Duncan comfortably requires plugging in at the destination. Or, more likely, just begging for a ride from one of the fleet of other cars going to the game.

Every team we play other than Cowichan can definitely be reached with the Leaf with no problem.
The soccer coach test, step 11: nets in the back seat. Visibility is not impaired, but of course there's now only room for four people. Or five people with really accommodating back seat passengers who don't mind holding the nets!
The soccer coach test, step 10: rather than removing the back hatch cover, I will likely just put the nets in the back seat (protected with plastic).
The soccer coach test, step 9: and there you have it, it all fits in the back, though with the nets there rear visibility is impaired a bit. It might be possible to finagle things such that the nets sit lower, but... see step 10.
The soccer coach test, step 8: nets in the back.
The soccer coach test, step 7: rear cover removed.
The soccer coach test, step 6: removing the cover for the back hatch requires folding one side of the rear seat forward. The cover is sort of a trapezoid shape, and you can't remove it without having some space to turn it sideways.
The soccer coach test, step 5: it all fits, with the hatch down!

Ok, "all" is a slight exaggeration. Everything I need for 90% of practices and most games fits in there, but if I'm going to a field which requires nets to be put up... see step 6.
The soccer coach test, step 4: that's everything except the nets. The bag contains Wos markers, medium-sized cones, a hard case containing papers and pens, my substitution board, a gagillion pinnies, goalkeeper jersey, goalkeeper gloves, ball pump, captain's armband, hand warmers, agility ladder, and probably a few other things I can't think of right now.

But will it fit with the hatch down?
